Now, it's making its' first and only visit to this blog.

Let's review, since too many of you we're sitting there with awkward boners in class when they were reviewing PEMDAS.

**P = parentheses**

**E = exponent**

**M = multiplication**

**D = division**

**A = addition**

**S = subtraction**

**The stupidity... it hurts.**

You can "group" multiplication and division together, as you can group addition and subtraction together. When multiple operations of these groups exist (i.e. you'll have to multiply/divide more than once), you go from left to right, NOT MULTIPLYING EVERYFUCKINGTHING FIRST, THEN DIVIDING EVERYFUCKINGTHING AFTER YOU MULTIFUCKINGPLY.

6/2(2+1)

6/2(3)

6/6

We did it! We're correct! Right?

**NO, DUMBASS.**

You just did everything I told you not to do! People who fail to do this can graduate from school and do important jobs, like work in a fucking hospital. How are they going to be able to add doses of imadumbassexadrin and herpderpatonin when they can't even do PEMDAS correctly? Do people wonder why America is 17th in the world in education? It looks like I'm going to have to draw it out in crayon, like usual.

6/2(2+1)

6/2(3)

9

We did it! Right?

**YOU BET YOUR CHEESEBURGER LOVING ASS IT IS. THE ANSWER IS NINE.**

**(or 9 for those who can't read. You can't do order of operations, so you might read that as a different number, like 14 or Q)**

**You did it, dumbass!**

There. I correctly answered this question. The answer is 9. Not 1, 9. If anyone tells you otherwise, punch them in the mouth so that their teeth fly into the back of their mouth, then snap their kneecaps. Hopefully you were paying attention and not thinking about asking Jennifer Simmons to the prom. She's going with me, so piss off. She doesn't want to go to the prom with a dumbass like you anyway.

I was all wrong with 77, but what if you... oh...

ReplyDeleteagree w/ 9

ReplyDeleteim sure some ppl still think its 1

i always thought it was 1. damn

ReplyDeleteYES, order of freaking operations!

ReplyDeleteI KNEW IT WAS 9!

ReplyDeletei hate math -___-

ReplyDeletehaha, it's easy when you simply use the order of operations. Honestly, I think most people are just pretending to get this wrong...

ReplyDeletefollowed, great blog, keep it coming, will be checking daily!

ReplyDeleteI never learnt pemdas, I thought when it comes to multiplication and division it's which comes first in line, and the same with addition and subtraction

ReplyDeleteIt's just the way you write it, most people would write it 6 / 2 x (2+1) - I saw someone write it like 6 / 2(2+1) before which is just misleading.

ReplyDeleteMath was never my strong point, but this was an interesting read nonetheless. Thanks for posting!

ReplyDeleteI blew this one for some reason. I was thinking Algebraically or something. I distributed the two to both integers in the brackets and then solved. got 7

ReplyDeleteI can't believe so many people can't do this simple math problem. IT'S SO FUCKING SIMPLE!

ReplyDeletehaha, I love the "fried chicken" tag

ReplyDeleteI feel dumb as fuck.

ReplyDeleteyea its 9 and this is just another copy of the original problem that was "48/2(9+3)"

ReplyDeleteIn my language (spanish) its called PAPOMUDAS. Haha.

ReplyDeletetl:dr

ReplyDeleteNot going to lie.. I put 1 at first.

ReplyDeletePEMDAS is god. Learn it, live by it.

ReplyDeleteFinally...greatest blog post I've ever seen ;)

ReplyDeleteTnats a big one for sure. Ill be back

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this troll/problem posted yet.

ReplyDeletePeople really can't do this?!

i have not seen this troll problem anywhere yet...

ReplyDeletePeople.... have trouble solving this...?

ReplyDeletejust give me 5 minutes....

ReplyDeleteThe math, it hurts

ReplyDeleteI had to explain to a friend who's 25 why he was an idiot after he tried to solve this problem.

ReplyDeleteIf teachers had the audacity to teach with pics like these school would be a lot more interesting lol

ReplyDeleteWow... :P

ReplyDeleteNo child left behind = all children left behind. 0 = all? American math.

ReplyDeleteIn a way, both 1 and 9 are correct. It depends on which system you use I guess

ReplyDeleteAhahaha, I can't believe the number of people that don't understand simple order of operations. Great post

ReplyDeleteMy brother was explaining this to me. I didn't get it but now that I read your post I can kinda(big kinda) see how you would get 2 different answers.

ReplyDeleteHaha the pictures in this post made me chuckle.

ReplyDeleteYou made me LOL. I like the randomness, good stuff.

ReplyDeletethat was hilarious

ReplyDeletethat would be really annoying for me. Would have given up after the first one.

ReplyDeleteOOO baby gotta love math haha the answer is

ReplyDelete9 :)

Back in high school I probably would have said 1. Maybe I was absent the day the teacher taught PEMDAS, but I never knew until my freshman year of college that you solve multiplication/division left to right... screwed me over bad back then.

ReplyDeletewow thx for explaining bro :)

ReplyDeletewhat the fuck did i jusst read? this was a waste of my damn time.

ReplyDeleteit's like I just came home and saw everyone sleeping... wake up!

ReplyDeleteHow come they never tought me this in school??? e__e!!!

ReplyDeletethis was actually hilarious, well worth the read

ReplyDeletefollowed!

ReplyDeleteDamn, I feel a bit stupid.

ReplyDelete6/(2(2+1)) now its 1!
